How to connect your Printify account to Launch Cart

To connect Printify, please follow these steps.

In a new browser tab, open Printify.com and login. (If you haven't created your free account, you can register here for a free Printify account.)
You'll need to generate an API token first. Click on your > profile icon > connections

Click on "Generate"

Give your token a name choose "All scopes", then click "Generate token".

On the next popup, just press "close" as you wont need to do anything with this token.

Now that you've enabled an API token, you can create a new API Printify store. You can do this by clicking on > Profile icon > My stores >

Then click on "Add new store" *If you don't see a button to add a new store, then this typically means you'll need to upgrade your Printify account. Printify only allows 5 printify stores o

Understand domains

What is a domain?

A domain name (also known as your store URL or link) is a unique address of your online store on the web. Your visitors and customers will use this domain to locate and visit your store from anywhere in the world. A domain is also part of your brand identity and can affect your search engine position and placement.

A domain usually contains:

The root domain — a word or words related to what your website represents. In the above example “TinyDancingHorse.com" is the root domain.
A subdomain — an optional addition to the main domain. Subdomains are created to organize and navigate to different sections of your website. In our example, “WWW” is the subdomain. Usually, folks will use "shop" or "store" as their subdomain.
A top-level domain — the last label in your domain name, in the above example it is .com.

Does my Launch Cart come with a free domain?

Yes it does. Every new Launch Cart store comes with a free domain and an included SSL certificate at no extra cost.

How to setup taxes

Launch Cart allows you easily configure tax rates that you can charge to your store's customers. To edit your tax settings, go to > Settings > Taxes

Tax Rules

You may add multiple tax rules to your Launch Cart store to calculate taxes for your store’s orders. Each rule has a name, a priority, and rates.

Priority

Each rule has priority. Taxes for a rule are either added to other rules with the same priority or compounded with rules of a lower priority. Different jurisdictions require different applications of tax rules, and the priority setting gives you a tool to assist with this calculation.

Priorities can be described using this example: For each of these examples, let’s assume an order with a taxable amount of $100 USD. These can be configured in more complex forms than the provided examples, but let’s cover three of the most common use cases.

Priority example: single tax ****For this example, we have a single tax rule with a priority of 1. This rule has an effective rate (see rates, below, for more fine-grained implementation) of 5%.

Since there’s a single tax rule, the calculation is simple: a taxable amount of $100 plus 5% is $105.

Priority example: two independent taxes ****In this case, let’s apply a provincial or state tax of 4% and a federal tax of 3%. Both taxes have a priority of 1 in this case, so the taxes are added together:

4% of the taxable amount of $100 is $4 (this is the provincial/state tax) 3% of the taxable amount of $100

Intro to payments: How do you get paid?

When a customer adds products to their cart and then goes to your store's checkout page, they can choose how they want to pay for their order using any of the payment methods that you've enabled in the > Payment page in your Launch Cart store admin. These payments are then transferred directly to your bank account or held within the payment provider's wallet online for you to use later (think of paypal.com).

What is a payment method?

A payment method is a 3rd-party company you use to accept payments. You can enable multiple payment methods at the same time, giving your customers different ways to pay on the checkout page.

Available payment methods in your Launch Cart store admin are:

Stripe.com (highly recommended)
Paypal.com (highly recommended)
NMI.com
OpenNode.com

Each one of these payment methods (above) will enable your store to process transactions online and accept orders from customers all over the world.

How do you enable a payment method?

Login to your Launch Cart store admin
Go to the > Payments tab
Click "enable" next to the payment method of your choice and follow through with the setup. *Only one payment method is required to enable your store to accept payments online.
Once a payment method is enabled, your store can accept orders from customers all over the world.

Customizing your store's look with CSS

If you'd like to make changes to your store's appearance that are not available by default by using the built-in theme editor, you can customize your store by adding custom CSS code to your store's theme.

What is CSS code?

CSS is the language for describing the presentation of Web pages, including colors, layout, and fonts. Inside your Launch Cart theme editor, you can insert custom CSS code to dramatically change the appearance of your online store.

How to implement custom CSS code

Login to your store admin, then go to > Appearance > Theme Editor> click on "Customize" on your active theme. Then click on "Code" on the left-hand sidebar.

On this screen, you'll be able to paste in CSS code into the "CSS Code" input box. You can also choose different destinations for your code, by selecting from the tabs on this screen.

To enable your Launch Cart customers to pay with the cryptocurrency called Bitcoin (BTC), we recommend you set up and configure the payment method called OpenNode.

Here's how to enable Bitcoin payments via OpenNode:

Login to your Launch Cart store admin

Navigate to your Settings > Payments page.

Scroll down and find the OpenNode payment method and press "Connect and Enable"

You'll be asked to input a "Ecommerce API key" from your OpenNode.com account. (Learn how to create an OpenNode Ecommerce API key)

After your input your OpenNode Ecommerce API Key, press "save"

That's it. You're done. Your Launch Cart store will now show an option on the checkout page for your customers to pay with Bitcoin.

How do I get an OpenNode Ecommerce key?

Sign in to your OpenNode.com account or create a new account.

Once logged in, go to > Developers > Integrations, then click on "Enable" under Setup authentication.
